Zurich Airport has been ranked among the best airports in Europe in the category of 25 to 40 million passengers alongside Copenhagen and Oslo. After 2006, 2008 and 2018, Zurich is now a winner of the Airport Service Quality Award for the fourth time in 2019. The industry association Airports Council International recognizes the quality of departures with this prize. The assessment is based on a passenger survey in which a total of 34 categories are evaluated, including cleanliness, security controls and catering facilities.

The prize is intended to help align the quality standards of the airports with one another and to make the opportunities for improvement visible. Stephan Widrig, CEO of Zurich Airport AG, was quoted in the press release issued by his company discussing the award: “It is important to us to constantly improve in order to offer our passengers high quality and the best travel experience at Zurich Airport”.
